Israel and Moscow to Exchange Visits of Their State Orchestras

The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and the Moscow State Orchestra will exchange visits in May 1966 under an agreement signed here today in Moscow. The agreement was signed by Tzvi Haftel, Israeli orchestra manager, who is currently in Moscow.

A Soviet plane will fly the Russian musicians to Tel Aviv and take members of the Israel orchestra to Russia for 16 concerts in various cities. Violinist Leonid Kagan and Cellist Rostropowitz will appear with the Israeli Philharmonic next season. Vladimir Ashkenazi, the Russian pianist, arrived here today for a series of concerts with the Israeli orchestra.
