Myer Feinstein, Philadelphia banker who served as a member of the national campaign cabinet of the United Jewish Appeal and as a national board member of the Joint Distribution Committee, died in the hospital here yesterday at the age of 69.
He was president of the Jewish Exponent, local English-Jewish weekly, and served as president of the Allied Jewish Appeal of Philadelphia in 1954. He was treasurer of the Jewish Publication Society and of Gratz College. He was a member of the executive committee of the Federation of Jewish Agencies of Greater Philadelphia as well as of the United Fund, United Hias Service and the Home for the Jewish Aged.
He was awarded 1st month the Shield of Israel award of the State of Israel established to honor persons who combined contributions to their own nation with friendship for Israel. He was also the recipient of the Edwin Rosenberg award of the Council of Jewish Federations and Welfare Funds and the State of Israel Medallion of Valor.
