The Jordanian Government reported today that a number of United States tanks, believed to be the latest models, have arrived at the Jordanian Akaba port, it was reported here from Amman.
The official statement said the delivery was part of a United States program to supply Jordan with the latest arms and equipment. Among those supervising the unloading of the tanks were five United States military experts. Jordanian soldiers recently completed a course of training in use of the tanks.
