“Deep concern” for the plight of Soviet Jewry was expressed by delegates at the concluding session of the South African Zionist Conference here.

A resolution expressing “grave apprehension in regard to the future of Russian Jewry as a conscious segment of the Jewish people,” and calling on the Soviet Government to give “full recognition” to the basic rights of the Russian Jewish community, was unanimously adopted. Representatives from all parts of South Africa attended the conference.
