Jewish New Year greetings, a custom of West German leaders since establishment of the federal republic, were issued today by President Heinrich Luebke, Kurt Scharf, head of the Protestant Church of West Germany; Josef Cardinal Frings, the Archbishop of Cologne; Konrad Adenauer, former Chancellor, and others.
