World Council of Synagogues Sends Field Representatives to Israel

The World Council of Synagogues, representing the Conservative religious movement, has appointed two field representatives to its Israel office, it was announced today by Emanuel G. Scoblionko, president of the organization. Rabbi Moshe Cohen of Springfield, Mass., has been named director of the Israel office of the World Council; and Rabbi Jerome Lipnick of Minneapolis has been named educational consultant. Rabbi Cohen will establish his headquarters in the American Student Center of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America located in Jerusalem.
