Archbishop Iakovos of the Greek Orthodox Faith of North and South America, has added his condemnation anti-Semitism to that of other Church leaders. At the end of a visit to the campus of Hebrew Union College — Jewish Institute of Religion in Cincinnati, Archbishop Iakovos issued the following statement:

“Because I believe in the Fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of mankind, I most vigorously condemn anti-Semitism. Any form of racial or ethnic hatred is a sin against all that is holy.” Archbishop Iakovos is the Archbishop of North and South America, Holy Synod of Ecumenical Patriarchate since 1959, and chairman of the Standing Conference of Canonical Bishops in the Americas.
