Students from 17 countries were gathered at Rehovot today to begin a two-year course in rural planning started by the Agricultural Research Center at Rehovot. The course, said to be the most comprehensive of its Rind ever undertaken, is being financed by the Israel Government, the European Economic Development organization, the Organization of American States and the Ford Foundation.
Twenty-six students are enrolled in the course. Included among the countries represented by the students are the Philippine Islands, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey, Iran, Sweden, Yugoslavia, Tanzania, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Jamaica, Ecuador and El Salvador.
