Israel today requested Scottish shipyards to delay sending representatives here to negotiate an order for building ships for Israel.
The request appeared to be in retaliation for newly-imposed British restrictions on the import of Israeli cotton products. Israel is protesting against inclusion of this country in Britain’s list of lands with “cheap labor.” Under the new British ruling, textile imports from countries with “cheap labor.” will be restricted to protect British producers.
