Police in Lyons reported today that anti-Semitic leaflets were distributed in the city advising Jews to leave France for their own safety so that “Frenchmen could enjoy their own country.”

At the same time, a group of students caused disturbances at Lyons University aimed both at Jews and leftwing elements in the student body. Twelve local democratic groups published a statement condemning the incidents and urging Lyons citizens not to allow such things to happen again.
