Israel’s Parliament decided unanimously last night against any statute of limitations for genocide and crimes against humanity.

A previously-adopted law bans any limitation for prosecution of Nazi war crimes but the new legislation, proposed by the National Religious Party, gives far wider scope to the principle. The Knesset members indicated their attitude on the serious nature of the matter with a vote by rising to their feet instead of the customary show of hands.
