Youth Center in Tel Aviv Named for Late Washington Jewish Leader

The Joseph Cherner Youth Center, named for the late Washington, D.C. Zionist and philanthropic leader, and the largest municipal youth center, was formally opened here.

The guest of honor was Mrs. Ruth Cherner, the widow, who was the principal donor for the new center. Mr. Cherner was active in the Israel Bond program, the United Jewish Appeal and Zionist programs.
