The Israel Museum’s Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are housed, has been named for the 1966 Award of Merit of the American Institute of Architects, the museum announced today. The award is the third given to buildings of the Israel Museum. Earlier prizes included a gold award by the American Architecture League and an Israel Prize awarded on Independence Day.
