The West German Foreign Office announced here today that its own disciplinary investigation had found no evidence to support charges that Dr. Alexander Toeroek, counsellor at the West German embassy in Tel Aviv, had been a member of the Arrow Cross, the wartime Hungarian Fascist organization. The charges were made shortly before Bonn opened its embassy in Tel Aviv last year. Dr. Toeroek, who is currently serving as Charge d-Affaires while Ambassador Rolf Pauls is on home leave, had requested the Foreign Office investigation of the charges.

The Foreign Office statement, which was officially forwarded to the Israel Embassy here, stressed that Dr. Toeroek had been fully rehabilitated as a result of the investigation. Throughout the probe, the Hungarian authorities refused to grant both West German and Israeli experts access to requested documents.
