Dr. Zerah Warhaftig, Israel’s Minister for Religious Affairs, left for Vienna today to make arrangements for the transfer to Israel of 1,000 Torah scrolls being sent to this country by Jews of Rumania, assisted by the Rumanian Government. Announcement of the plans to ship the scrolls here, via Vienna, was made last week in Brussels by Rumania’s chief rabbi, Dr. Moses Rosen.
