A two day conference on Jewish identity ended in Cordoba City today with an appeal for deeper religious commitment on the part of Jewish intellectuals, who were described as absent from Jewish life in Argentina. Problems of Jewish education also were considered.

The conference was attended by 27 university professors, members of the Argentine judiciary, former Congressmen and a number of leading Jews from all parts of the country. The event was sponsored by the Latin American office of the American Jewish Committee, the Hebraic Society of Cordoba, and the Cordoba chapter of the Women’s International Zionist Organization.
