A tape recording comprising a lengthy attack against Jews by Canadian Nazi leader John Beattie was admitted as evidence today in Beattie’s trial on charges of violating a city parks by-law, which forbids language or action in the parks likely to stir up hatred towards a race or religious group

The recording, which was played in Magistrates Court here, had been taped by two Toronto members of the police intelligence bureau while Beattie delivered his address in Allan Gardens last June. In the speech, the Jews were accused of everything from “sucking Canada dry,” in order to send all its goods and money to Israel, to causing suicides and deaths in subways.
