Tomas Reyes, the president of the Chilean Senate, and Eugenie Ballesteros, president of the House of Representatives, who attended the dedication of Israel’s new Parliamentary building in Jerusalem, were honored today at a banquet given by the Chilean Zionist Federation.
Sen. Reyes told the banquet that “we can give testimony that the Government and people of Israel have made the greatest effort to live in peace with their neighbors and to continue their great work.” Other speakers were Miguel Maldavsky, president of the Zionist Federation and Dr. Naor, the Israeli ambassador.
