A plenary session of the DAIA, the central representative body of Argentine Jewry, today reelected Dr. Isaac Goldenberg to a new two-year term as president.
A new DAIA governing body was established, consisting of the presidents of 33 major Argentine Jewish organizations and institutions to cooperate with the DAIA executive. This arrangement was created to insure swifter action when needed. In reassuming the presidency, Dr. Goldenberg stressed the need for effective action by the DAIA as the political spokesman for Argentine Jewry.
