Syrian shepherds are again grazing their flocks in the Israeli demilitarized zone along the border, Israeli officials reported today. The shepherds are being given protective cover by Syrian gunners.
Infiltration of this kind took place a couple of months ago but was ended after Israel took counter-measures. Israeli officials have notified United Nations observers about the return of the shepherds to the zone.
