American Zionist Council Elects Rabbi Miller As Chairman

Rabbi Israel Miller, chairman of the American Jewish Conference on Soviet Jewry, the coordinating body of 25 national Jewish organizations, has been elected as chairman of the American Zionist Council which acts as the coordinating and policy-making body for the entire Zionist movement in the United States.

Hy Faine, president of the Labor Zionist Organization of America, was elected to serve as chairman of the executive committee of the Council. The American Zionist Council represents 14 national Zionist organizations with a membership of 700,000 men and women.
