Four American Companies Barred by Jordan for Dealing with Israel

The Jordanian Government yesterday barred nine companies, four of them American, from doing business in Jordan, because they trade with Israel, it was reported here from Amman.

The four American companies are National Steel and Tinplate Warehouse, Inc., of Pennsylvania; Jantzen, Inc., and seven of its branches; Studebaker Corporation and 14 of its branches in England, Canada, Mexico, Switzerland and the United States, and Staples and Specialties International of New York. The other companies named were two in Britain and one each in India, Singapore and Belgium.
