Rep. Leonard Farbstein, N.Y. Dem., a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, told the House of Representatives today that by its desecration of Jewish holy places in the Old City of Jerusalem, “Jordan has forfeited its rights in Jerusalem forever more,”
He said Jordan had forfeited any claim to act as custodian of the holy places and he said the United States must not countenance a return to the situation that existed prior to June 5.
