San Francisco Jewish Welfare Federation Allocates $2,810,448 to 35 Agencies

A total of $2,810,448 has been allocated to 35 local, national and overseas beneficiary agencies by the Jewish Welfare Federation of San Francisco, Marin County and the Peninsula, it was announced here by Federation president Robert E. Sinton. Allocations are for the fiscal year March 1, 1967 to February 29,1968.

The figures match the record which was set last year, and, significantly, includes an increase from Federation’s regular 1967 campaign. An analysis of the figures shows that United Jewish Appeal was again the principal beneficiary, receiving $1,200,500, with an additional $56,500 going to other overseas agencies. Local agencies of Federation received $1,141,873, which includes allocations from United Crusade Campaigns. National beneficiary agencies of Federation were allocated $131,650.

Sinton noted that with the regular campaign allocation. Federation has now earmarked $3,550,500 for the United Jewish Appeal thus far this year. Included in this total is the Israel Emergency Fund, which now has raised more than $2,100,000 in San Francisco, Marin County and the Peninsula; and a special gift of $250,000 from Federation’s capital funds.
