Rep. Robert Taft, Jr., Ohio Republican, reported to the House today on “increased anti-Semitism” in Communist countries. He noted a speech by National Commander Malcolm A. Tarlov, of the Jewish War Veterans, on the rise of anti-Jewish pressures emanating from Moscow. The Congressman termed the situation “disturbing.”
He called attention to “a new wave of anti-Semitism in Communist nations in which Jews are made the scapegoats because Israel defeated the Arab allies of Moscow, and the Communist drive for power in the Middle East.”
