A three-day National Mobilization Conference will open here tomorrow under the auspices of the Israel Bond Organization to inaugurate the sale of a new $500,000,000 State of Israel bond issue in the United States, Canada and other parts of the free world. More than 500 representatives of communities in the United States and Canada are expected to attend the sessions at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel.
Finance Minister Pinchas Sapir of Israel will report to the conference on short-term problems confronting Israel in restoring its war-dislocated economy and on long-range development measures required to create greater economic stability for Israel.
Ephraim Evron, Israeli Minister, and Dr. Joseph J. Schwartz, executive vice-president of the bond organization will address the luncheon session on Friday. Mr. Sapir and Gen. Ezer Weizmann, Chief of Operations of the Israel Defense Forces, will address the Saturday night dinner session, Abraham Feinberg, president of the organization, will preside.
A concluding session Sunday morning will be devoted to detailed planning of the Fall bond sales campaign. The speakers will include Louis H. Boyar, chairman of the board of governors, and Leon Keyserling, economist. Samuel Rothberg, national campaign chairman, will preside over this session.
