Israel Foreign Minister Abba S. Eban delivered an off-the-record talk to the Conference of Presidents of Major American Organizations today on recent developments in Israel’s quest for negotiations with the Arab states. Dr. Joachim Prinz, chairman of the Conference, presided at the meeting. Mr. Eban’s appearance was the latest in a series of confidential briefings to the Conference by various governmental spokesmen. Last week, Lucius D. Battle, Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs and former U.S. Ambassador to Egypt, met with members of the Conference in a private session.
