President Eduardo Frei received Itzhak Harkabi, special envoy of President Zalman Shazar of Israel, today and discussed with him Israel’s desire for a permanent peace settlement in the Middle East. Ambassador Harkabi visited Santiago on a lightning tour of Latin American capitals and was to proceed from here to Uruguay, Paraguay and Mexico. He was also received here by Foreign Secretary Gabriel Valdes.
Mr. Harkabi arrived here from Lima where he had been received by President Belaunde Terry.
