A tumultuous welcome was given Soviet naval ships that arrived in Port Said, Egypt, last week, it was reported here. Egyptian censorship permitted Western newsmen to say only that two were “big” warships, another a frigate, and a fourth an auxiliary supply ship. It was announced in Cairo that Egyptian War Minister Amin Huweidy is soon to visit Moscow to discuss Russian-Egyptian military matters.
