The Australian Jewish Board of Deputies has issued a call for a boycott of a Soviet film festival. The Embassy Theater here had refused to show the films and the festival was transferred to a large theater in a Melbourne suburb. The Embassy management said it had refused to show the Soviet films because of Soviet anti-Semitism. In the appeal for the boycott, the Board declared that “no self-respecting Jew” should attend the film festival.
