25 Young Jews Leave for Israel As Volunteers to Aid Reconstruction in Kibbutzim

Twenty-five young Jews, including men and women, left for Israel today to serve as volunteers aiding Israeli recovery projects in kibbutzim and other areas facing reconstruction problems as a result of the Six-Day War, it was announced here today by Sherut La’am Volunteers for Israel Program. The volunteers, all between the ages of 18 and 30, are paying their own way to and from Israel, the organization said. They will be in Israel six weeks and, while aiding reconstruction, will also tour the country and study Hebrew.
