Los Angeles School Head Instructs Supervisors to Avoid Sectarian Holiday Settings

The superintendent of Los Angeles public schools has issued a bulletin instructing school and college administrators here to avoid “highly sectarian scenes, music and tableaux” in planning Christmas programs and classroom decorations for the forthcoming holiday season. The bulletin advised them to “take into consideration the diverse religious faiths represented in the community, student body and faculty.”
