Nine thousand persons in the United States have registered for immigration to Israel since last June’s Six Day War, it was disclosed here today by Moshe Rivlin, director general of the Jewish Agency. Mr. Rivlin said that there has been a tremendous and positive change in the attitude toward aliyah (immigration) in Jewish communities all over the world since the war.

He told a press conference here that the forthcoming world conference of Jewish Journalists to be held in Jerusalem “will be forged into a forceful tool to encourage and promote aliyah.”
