The Conference of Major American Organizations announced today that it will give a farewell dinner to Ambassador Avraham Harman and Mrs. Harman at the Biltmore Hotel on Jan. 23. Ambassador Harman, who has served as Israel’s Ambassador to Washington since 1959, is returning to Israel and will be succeeded by former Chief of Staff Maj. Gen, Itzhak Rabin.
The Conference of Major American Jewish Organizations is composed of 21 national Jewish organizations with a collective membership of 4.5 million American Jews.
