French Chief Rabbi Says Heart Transplants Only Permissible to Save Life

Chief Rabbi Jacob Kaplan said here today that the Jewish religion is opposed to human heart transplants but nevertheless permits such operations if they can save a human life. The Chief Rabbi spoke at a meeting of the Academy of Moral and Political Sciences.
