Ground-breaking ceremonies were held today for a new $60,000 community center in the immigrants quarter at Lod, sponsored by the Cleveland branch of Pioneer Women, the women’s Labor Zionist Organization of America. The center will contain a day nursery for the children of working mothers, a community hall and classrooms. It will be operated by Moetzet Hapoalot, the Pioneer Women’s sister organization, which will contribute to its support.
