Swarms of locusts are moving into Jordan from Saudi Arabia but both countries are taking measures to destroy the insects, it was reported from Amman today. The anti-locust research center here warned recently that a serious locust plague can be expected in the Middle East this summer owing to warm weather and excessive rain in the locust breeding areas.
