The National Committee for Labor Israel announced plans today to honor Dr. Paul Dudley White, the heart specialist, by creating a Dr. Paul Dudley White Cardiovascular Research Institute in one of the 14 general hospitals in Israel of the Histadrut, Israel’s Labor Federation.
Initial funds for the project were raised at a dinner here attended by more than 500 guests. Another beneficiary is the International Cardiology Foundation of which Dr. White is president. Dr. White lauded Israel’s high level of health standards and Histadrut’s goal of humanitarian progress.
