American Industrialist Contributes Funds Toward Synagogue in the Netherlands

American Jewish industrialist Joseph Foster, owner of the Foster Grant Chemical Works in Breda, The Netherlands, has contributed 75,000 Dutch guilders (about $25,000) to the small Jewish congregation in Breda toward construction of a new synagogue. Christian groups have already collected 10,000 guilders (about $3,000) for this purpose.
