Spokesmen for the National Religious Party said today that while they did not approve the concentration of economic power in the hands of one man resulting from the assignment of the Treasury portfolio to Zeev Sharef, who will continue to direct the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the party will not make difficulties or take any action that might result in a Cabinet crisis.

The Gahal alignment of the Herut and Liberal Parties continued to be critical of Prime Minister Levi Eshkol’s action but it does not intend to withdraw from the Government in which its leader, Menachem Beigin, is a Minister Without Portfolio. The Cabinet restructuring followed the resignation of Pinhas Sapir as Minister of Finance to assume the post of secretary-general of the Israel Labor Party left vacant by the retirement of Mrs. Golda Meir.
