United States Ambassador George W. Ball was reportedly taking the initiative in a new attempt to advance a solution to the Middle East deadlock, the Washington Post reported today. The Post’s United Nations correspondent Robert H. Estabrook said Mr. Ball reportedly will seek to advance a Middle East solution while Arab and Israeli foreign ministers are present during the UN General Assembly starting Sept. 24.
