Israel Ambassador Yitzhak Rabin will return to Washington tonight and is expected to resume negotiations with the State Department on the sale of Phantom jets, according to Israeli sources.
The sources said Gen. Rabin, who has been consulting in Israel for the last few days, will be joined here by Israeli experts who may join in the talks. Israelis hope that a meeting will be held before the end of this week.
