The Central Council of Jews in Germany has cabled the United Nations Human Rights Commission on the plight of Jews in Egypt, Syria and Iraq. Its message said, “As survivors of Nazi persecution, we feel compelled and justified to bring to your attention the sufferings of these people and the violation of their essential rights.”
