Mexican Red Cross Agrees to Intervene for Jews in Arab Countries

The head of the Mexican Red Cross assured a Jewish delegation today that his organization would officially intervene to secure amelioration of the conditions under which the Jewish minorities live in the Arab countries. The assurances were given by Jose Barroso Chavez, the president of the Red Cross, to a delegation composed of representatives of the Comite Central Israelita and of the organization of Jews from Arab countries. The delegation gave him detailed reports on the treatment of Jews in Egypt, Iraq and Syria.
