The Workmen’s Circle has called on Attorney General John Mitchell to investigate the Action Committee for American-Arab Relations, an Arab propaganda group, for possible violation of the Foreign Agents Registration Act. In a telegram to Mr. Mitchell, Israel Breslau, president of the Jewish labor fraternal organization, and Benjamin Gebiner, executive secretary, noted that extremist Negro militant groups such as the Black Panthers, Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee, and the Republic of New Africa have recently echoed Arab propaganda against Israel. “We are entitled to a full report on violations on American soil by Arab groups either financing or furnishing propaganda to extremists designed to inflame Americans against each other,” the telegram said.
