Israel’s Ambassador to France, Walter Eytan, arrived home today for consultations with Foreign Minister Abba Eban and senior Foreign Ministry officials on the problem of Franco-Israel relations which are at an all-time low. Relations between the two countries cooled after President Charles de Gaulle charged Israel with aggression in the June, 1967 Six-Day War. They deteriorated further last December in the wake of France’s total embargo on military equipment and spare parts to Israel following the Dec. 28 reprisal raid on Beirut Airport.
