Israel will honor its war dead and the men of its armored corps and Navy in three new postage stamps to be issued on its Memorial Day and on the occasion of Israel’s 21st anniversary celebrations, the Israel Philatelic Agency In America, Inc., announced here today.
The Memorial Day stamp depicts an Israeli flag at half-mast and is printed in multi-color. It was designed by A. Kalderon. The armored corps and Navy stamps were both designed by Y. Yoresh. Another Israeli stamp will pay tribute to the International Labor Organization on the occasion of its 50th anniversary.
