Rabbi Morris A. Sandhaus, Former Va Chaplain Service Director, Dies

Chaplain Morris A. Sandhaus, former director of the Chaplain Service of the Veterans Administration and the VA liaison with the National Jewish Welfare Board commission on Jewish chaplaincy, died at his home here yesterday at the age of 57. He became the first rabbi to serve as chief of any federal government chaplaincy service when he was named head of the VA Chaplain Service in 1962. He was deputy chief at his death.
