The European Economic Community has approved a year-round 40 percent tariff reduction on citrus exports from Israel, Spain and Turkey and an 80 percent reduction on citrus from Morocco and Tunisia. The reductions have been endorsed by the Council of Ministers, executive commission and the European Parliament. They will apply however only if the price of citrus fruits rises above the minimum set by the executive commission.
