World-famous Polish film producer Alexander Ford, who left his native land last month after being stopped from preparing a film on the life of a Jewish educator, has decided to settle in Israel with his family. He has signed an agreement to produce a film based on Russian author Alexander Solzhenitzyn’s book “The First Circle” in cooperation with Israeli producer Giora Goddik. Mr. Ford was producing a film entitled “Janos Korchak” in Poland. It was named for a man who perished in a concentration camp with his pupils. Mr. Ford said his film was stopped because Polish authorities, who are still conducting an anti-Jewish propaganda campaign, felt his work was not fitting at this time.
